In Petto, youth service for information and prevention is a youth service on the level of Flanders, recognizes by the Flemish Ministry as “In initiative for Information, communication and participation for youth”. 

In Petto develops and produces youth information products and methods, with the focus on youth participation. In Petto also facilitates youth information activities, like social and informative games, workshops,…. In Petto coordinates the Young Advisors project; a peer-to-peer support project that celebrates its 20th Anniversary this year.   For this occasion – and with the support of Youth in Action program and Antwerp European Youth Capital – we organize an International Seminar with youth participation “Exploring Online Peer-to-peer Support”. The Seminar will be at Thursday the 3th and Friday the 4th of November, but the participating youngsters will be hosted by the Antwerp Young Advisors from Sunday the 30th of October.

In Petto has international contacts and cooperates on a European level. Here we try to link our international network with the local centres, workers and youngsters engaged. 

In Petto is active member of the ERYICA network (European Youth Information and Counsseling Agency) and has contacs with several organisations (some Eryica member, others not , andt some even combining with Eurodesk function)..

In Petto has a team of 7 workers : one director, a responsible for communication and information products, a participation facilitator who is also coordinating the J@s project, a media tools specialist, a part time for design and lay-out and a part-time for international cooperation and 2 people for administration and logistic support. Moreover, a EVS young volunteer join the team for 9 months to assist in the organisation and the follow-up of the international Seminar “Online Peer to peer Support project”.
